What technology does EAGLE PPF use?
+
EAGLE PPF films use four named technologies across the range: Instant Self-Healing Technology in the Standard Series, and HyperHeal Technology, an Ultra-Hydrophobic Topcoat and Crystal Gloss Technology in the premium HyperShield Series. The Spectra Series adds colour, and Interior Precut PPF combines Instant Self-Healing Technology with vehicle-specific precut patterns.
How does self-healing paint protection film work?
+
The topcoat of a self-healing PPF is designed to recover its shape after light surface marks, such as fine swirl marks from washing. Many self-healing films recover faster with warmth from the sun or warm water. Deep scratches and cuts that go through the topcoat may not heal.
What is the difference between Instant Self-Healing and HyperHeal?
+
Instant Self-Healing Technology is the self-healing top layer of the EAGLE PPF Standard Series. HyperHeal is the self-healing technology of the premium HyperShield Series, which also adds an Ultra-Hydrophobic Topcoat and Crystal Gloss Technology.
What does a hydrophobic topcoat do on PPF?
+
A hydrophobic topcoat repels water, so water forms beads and rolls off instead of spreading across the panel. This helps the car stay cleaner between washes and makes rinsing off dust and grime easier.
Does PPF change the look of my car?
+
Clear gloss film such as Crystal Gloss is designed to keep the original paint colour and reflections visible. Clear Matte gives gloss paint a satin look, and the Spectra Series changes the colour of the car with gloss or matte coloured films.
Which EAGLE PPF technology is right for my car?
+
The Standard Series suits most cars and gives self-healing protection with a 5-year warranty. HyperShield is the premium choice, with a thicker 210–220 micron film, HyperHeal, a hydrophobic topcoat, Crystal Gloss and an 8-year peeling warranty.
